US 98 Community Outreach Group (COG) Meeting
June 16, 2008

• Alabama Department of Transportation representatives provided information on the intersection details for the west end of the US 98 project.
• The COG was given an update with photographs on the current US 98 project.
• The COG was provided with the schedule for up coming work, and review of the future section of US98.


Following the presentation, the COG discussed:

• Why access at Dolive Road and Jones Road
• Concerns about access at Glenwood Road
• Use of wetland vegetation in swales, rather than ponds
• Controlling illegal access
• Schedule for paving
• Schedule for slope repair work in MAWSS watershed
• Review of project to connect current project to AL158
• Why need for bridge extension at Big Creek since railroad bridge is limiting
• Webpage updates and information


The COG will take a tour of the project for the next meeting.
