• Active construction of roadways, drain pipes, and ditches from Station 270 to 280. Temporary BMPs installed to help control erosion and runoff.

Wilmer-Georgetown to Glenwood (13,617’) –

Glenwood to east end (4,964’) –
- No work this month.
- Area stabilized with temporary BMPs.
- BMPs damaged due to Hurricane Ike have been repaired.

Environmental Issues:
- Rain Days: Sept. 1 (3.50”), Sept. 5 (0.44”), Sept. 8 (0.39”), Sept. 15 (0.13”), Sept. 19 (0.15”), Sept. 20 (0.37”). Total rainfall in September was 4.98 inches over 6 days noted above. Upset condition rains from Hurricane Ike on 9/1/08 contributed to slope washes in several areas with resulting sediment losses. Soil losses from the high fill slope near Station 220 resulted in sediment in a tributary of Scarbo Creek with a water quality violation. In the active construction area near Station 280, rains caused heavy turbidity to flow into Long Branch Creek. Total of 2 dates this month with water quality violations. Notice of Upset Condition filed with ADEM.
