Escatawpa to Jones Road (8,650’) –
• Base and pave on-going
• Preparation of roadway sub grades for lime stabilization completed.
• Perimeter silt fences, wattles, and inlet protection devices in place for sediment control.
• A layer of small aggregate will be placed over completed sub grade before first layer of asphalt applied.
Jones Road to Walter Tanner (10,650’) –
• Base and pave project on-going.
• Preparation of roadway sub grades for lime stabilization completed.
• A layer of small aggregate will be placed over sub grade before first layer of asphalt applied.
• Perimeter silt fences, wattles, and inlet protection devices in place for sediment control.
• Less than 1000 feet of grading work remains east of Scarbo Creek bridges. Grading work should be completed in November.
• Slope stabilization anchoring system for high fill sections under construction.
• All other areas stabilized with BMPs.
Walter Tanner to Wilmer-Georgetown (4,186’) –
• BMPs controlling erosion and sediment include -aggregate surfacing, wattles, inlet protection, slope stabilization with grassing, and rolled erosion control products.
• Construction of roadways, drain pipes, and ditches from Station 270 to 280 complete.
Wilmer-Georgetown to Glenwood (13,617’) –
• Slope issues at Long Branch stabilized with buttress and chimney drain system.
• Slope issues near Station 360 under construction with buttress and chimney drain system.
Glenwood to east end (4,964’) –
• No work this month.
• Area stabilized with temporary vegetation and BMPs.
• Side drainage ditch lines and treatment ponds surveyed for each outfall in Collins Creek area for construction.
Environmental Issues:
• Rain Days: October 7 (1.12” ave.), October 23 (0.66” ave.) Total of 2 rain dates this month with one unsatisfactory turbidity discharge condition during 10/7 rain.
